About

Background

The owner and founder, Mr Andy Jackson, has over 30 years of experience in photography along with an extensive background in Fine Art Retail.

A J Images was originally set up in Cambridge UK, in 2001, to meet the demands of an ever changing world and market place with the objective of offering a professional and personal service, tailoring each project to meet the specific needs of a client.

Specialising in photographic work, A J Images has acquired extensive experience in Wedding, Portrait, Commercial, Travel, Aviation & Specialist Commissioned Photography.

Over the years, the business has expanded its operation into South East Asia working in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo and Singapore.

Supporting Conservation and the Environment

As an established supplier of worldwide travel photography and illustrating the plight of an ever-changing world, we are proud to state that we have been actively involved with professional organisations and individuals who have dedicated themselves to fighting and working in order to protect the planet we live on.

Our aim is to help raise the awareness of serious issues such as; illegal deforestation through burning & logging and the impact of smoke haze pollution, protecting endangered wildlife species and their habitats, preserving marine ecologies such as coral reefs & mangroves, the illegal pet trade, illegal trade in ivory and animal parts used in some traditional medicines, amongst many others.

Such involvement allows us to highlight and aid in educating people of the dangers to our health, the fragile eco-system of our world, the impact on the environment and to dispel many of the myths that surround many damaging practices such as Chinese medicines and shark fin soup etc, etc.

Supporting Fair Trade

A J Images has also become involved in local trade.

We have been offering an outstanding range of stunning original art from South East Asia, which A J Images is proud to state is purchased directly from the local artists themselves in an effort to stimulate their local economy.

This subsequently allows families to help fight disease, famine and create the opportunity for their children to be educated.

Voluntary Work & Getting Involved

The proprietor of A J Images has been involved in many projects over the years:

Helping village schools in Laos with supplies, documenting the plight of indigenous tribes in Burma, working with land-mine disposal organisations in Cambodia & Laos, setting up trade for local artists directly to the UK from Thailand & Vietnam, help protect elephants in Northern Thailand, documenting progressive & sustainable forestry management in Borneo, highlighting the extensive deforestation and illegal forest burning in South East Asia along with many other small projects throughout the region.
